Looking for an SSD? If you’re looking for an SSD recording solution for this camera, check out the Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Pro 12K Recorder. Please note that neither a battery or charger are included with this rental. This camera also features a preinstalled Gold Mount battery plate for battery power. There is an added layer of lens communication with lenses capable of sharing lens data via Cooke i/Technology. This camera is compatible with cinema lenses that utilize ARRI’s PL (positive lock) mount. Carried over from the Mini Pro G2 is recording to USB Type-C SSD drives, and a new Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Pro 12K Recorder allows for full-quality 12K recording to compatible 2.5-inch SSDs. There’s an exterior LCD that provides at-a-glance shooting data, a four-position ND filtration wheel (0/2/4/6-stops), and dual CFast 2.0 and UHS-II capable SD memory card slots. With the URSA Mini Pro 12K, you get a raft of external controls that eliminate menu diving for focus assist, frame rate, and exposure settings. Recording and control options remain largely the same aside from the removal of any codecs other than Blackmagic RAW.

That quite a jump from the previous 4.6K sensor used in the Mini Pro G2. You can shoot 12K at 60 fps or use in-sensor scaling to allow 8K or 4K RAW at up to 110 fps without cropping or changing your field of view.

Blackmagic has implemented their own sensor design that can record up to 12K at 60fps. What’s Changed? The external body of the Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Pro 12K (PL) is mostly unchanged in this update, and instead, the sensor is the star of the show.
